What is Technical Assistance?

Technical Assistance is a service provided by an expert to a client. There are many varieties of technical assistance, however our Technical Assistance (or TA) focuses on post-harvest activities, which includes:

  • Food-Processing and Production
  • Packaging and Label Compliance

  • and Specialized Technical Assistance

These services can include providing guidance, support, advice, assessment, and/or customized training aimed at building capacity to access new markets, increase sustainability, or increase wise business-making decisions. TA can be provided through training (group or individual), peer-to-peer mentoring, through an online course, or other forms of direct support.
